Police Brutality Is Publicized All Around The World On All...

Matthew Gumbert Period 7 5/1/2015 Police Brutality Police brutality is publicized all around the world on all types of media. Some people don’t believe that it occurs and some are extremely against how the police take action against people. Events such as the Mike Brown case add to the fire of this upsetting topic.There is controversy over many of these cases. Especially when the case involves a conflict between a white and black man. The nation needs to be better about determining the fate of someone and finding evidence that the events portrayed had actually occurred. This doesn’t only occur because of lying witnesses but also the media exaggerating events. These following cases sound horrific but can be looked at from two standpoints depending on your judgement of what really occurred. On August 9, 2014 18-year old Michael Brown was shot and killed by 28-year old Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in St. Louis. Darren Wilson was on route to a robbery at a convenience store and approached Michael B rown and his friend. There was a conflict between the two and the truth is not known after this. This event has many different speculations on what occurred that day. Some believe that the Police officer had a right to shoot and kill Brown but many believe that the shooting was unjustified and the police officer only killed him because of the color of his skin rather than what Brown was actually doing.
